Change in Terms: Funds Availability Dollar Threshold Adjustments
Effective July 1, 2025
The Federal Reserve Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau jointly adjust dollar threshold amounts for inflation every five years relating to the availability of accountholder funds. Due to these changes in Federal Regulation CC, effective July 1, 2025 our Funds Availability Policy will change to increase the threshold amount of funds made available to you from deposits that are placed on hold.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Checks you deposit: The first $275 will generally be available no later than the first business day after the day of the deposit. The rest will be available on the second business day after the deposit. For example, if you deposit a check for $700 on Monday, $275 of the deposit will be available on Tuesday, and the remaining $425 on Wednesday.
Cash withdrawal amount: The amount available for cash withdrawal from certain deposits will increase to $550.
Electronic deposits (direct deposit, wires, etc.): Funds will be available on the next business day.
Larger check deposits: If you deposit checks totaling more than $6,725 in any one (1) day, the amount over $6,725 may take up to nine business days to be fully available.
For new accounts: The first $6,725 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, teller’s traveler’s and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the next business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. The excess over $6,725 will be available on the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other than a U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $6,725 will not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit.
Repeatedly overdrawn accounts: Longer delays may apply if you deposit checks totaling more than $6,725 in any one (1) day.
